From the research we have conducted on the length of film trailers and what they contain, we can conclude that we should be aiming for the statistics given above. We will aim to include around 100 shots in the trailer, and will aim for a time limit of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, based on our averages. Of the 100 shots, around half of them should include dialogue of some kind, in order to keep the viewer engaged with the video. We shall also aim to have a shot every second, unless the scene requires a shorter or longer shot to create the correct atmosphere. Our number of locations should be between five and ten, which is dependent on the planning and consistency of the trailer's contents. This will help to add variety to the trailer so it is not just showing a single place that will feature within the film. We will also aim for 8 intertitles to provide flow to the trailer and link the overarching story together. If we follow these averages, we should be able to create a good trailer that tells the story of the film without detailing too much, hopefully giving an impact on the viewer watching to go and see the film shown.
